I’mSomnia narrates a semi-biographical cosmic horror story about a woman who suffers from insomnia and recurrent night terror episodes that make her see a dark shadow person inside her room.

The narrative was inspired by the works of notorious horror writers such as H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Alan Poe, Clive Barker, and comic book author Junji Ito. 

The typography plays an expressive role in telling the story, with the imagery of “visible words” ultimately representing the utmost eldritch terror.

Designed for the Experimental Type course at the George Brown College School of Design (GBC SOD).

* I referenced an illustration from an unknown author for the “angel” and will gladly give it the proper credit if available.
